eSonar’s seining sensors are mounted on the foot gear of the purse seine (up to four sensors placed in different locations) and when deployed these sensors transmit their depth and temperature information back to an omni-directional hydrophone on the vessel. The information is displayed on a Graphical User Interface showing the real-time temperature at the sensor’s depth, along with rate of descent of the bottom of the net. The user friendly display is easily interpreted by the user.
