SEINING MONITORING SYSTEM

Up to four sensors can be mounted on the footgear of the purse seine. These sensors transmit real-time data on the water temperature and the rate of descent. This data is received by an omnidirectional hydrophone on the vessel and then relayed as easy-to-read information to an onboard Graphical User Interface.

Seining system specifications include:

  • Omni-directional sensor providing Depth and Temperature information

  • Depth Reporting Range: 200, 500 and 1000 meters (200 m typical for seining)

  • Telemetry range: 1000 meters, omnidirectional

  • Telemetry Update rate: Standard report every three seconds; wirelessly programmable

  • Frequency: Nominal 28 kHz band, programmable channel frequency

  • Weight in air: 6 kg; Sensor max depth rating: 1000 meters

  • Temperature Range: -5 to 35 degrees Celsius

  • Temperature Accuracy: ±0.1 degree Celsius

  • Depth Accuracy: ± 1% Full Scale

  • Battery Life: Up to 10 days (depending on update rate)

SEINEVUE RECEIVER

Installed on the bridge, engine room or any other convenient location on the vessel, this marine grade technology receives data from the hydrophone and relays it to one or more displays via an Ethernet connection.
